THERE WAS GOOD news for Martin O’Neill as Poland will have to do without a quartet of experienced internationals for Sunday’s crunch Euro 2016 qualifier.
Lukasz Piszczek, Artur Jedrzejczyk, Kamil Grosicki – who all played for Poland against Georgia and Scotland — as well as Jakub Blaszczykowski of Borussia Dortmund are all missing from Adam Nawalka’s squad.
Blaszczykowski was captain of Poland during their Euro 2012 and World Cup 2014 qualifying campaigns and has won 68 caps for his country.
However, his replacement Robert Lewandowski is in the 22 as Poland look to stretch their lead at the top of Group D.
